Our brain is like a computer processor.
It’s the command center where everything is decided upon and nothing works without it.
It also acts as the memory card and store tons upon tons of stuff we experience.
But then it’s also a producer and compiler.
Taking the most important parts of something we do and save it in its smallest form and re-creating it based on what it remembers when we want to go back to that memory.
It also takes in and outputs data into a visual aspect by using our eyes.
It has a speaker and microphone in the form of our mouth and ears.
Our brain is certainly capable of a lot of things and is very similar to a computer.
The human brain is the most capable out of any species, yet, just like a computer, it has its limitations.
Limitations which we don’t seem to care about at all and keep pushing it.
If we could look at statistics of our brain like we can with the processor of our computer, I’m sure it would surpass 150% workload at times, if not more.
A pc would’ve crashed a long time ago at that point, but we just keep ignoring it and keep it going.
Why?
We have created ourselves a world with high expectations.
Expectations that our brains sometimes can’t cope with.
We’re forcing it to handle multiple tasks at once.
We’re stacking task upon task and receiving information upon information every single second, and the brain simply can’t keep up.
As soon as it spots a window to catch up, something else gets in the way, like us going to bed.
That’s why you probably have noticed yourself thinking a lot when trying to sleep.
It’s because your brain didn’t have time to do it before.
And the worst part is, everything keeps evolving and requiring more and more of our attention that our brain gets more and more strain on it.
Everything keeps evolving except our willingness to do something about this.
Except our willingness to realize that this actually is a problem.
The brain can only do one thing at a time.
But we tend to push it to do a lot more than that at once.
The reality is, even if it seems as if we’re doing multiple things, it’s just switching very quickly between them and putting even more strain on itself.
And we’re not progressing either – we’re moving forward a little bit here and a little bit there.
Like I said, a computer would’ve crashed 100 times already if we pushed it this hard, but our brain has no option other than to just keep going.
I notice a lot of people hitting the wall because of this and if you haven’t already, you’re just gambling.
You’ve probably seen a lot of people being depressed, that could also be a result of this.
Our brain gets overloaded by a vast margin.
Whether it’s the humongous intake of information constantly being bombarded our way or the incredibly hectic tasks we’re taking on, we’re just waiting for it to crash.
Mental health is a huge problem and it’s only going to get a looooot worse the less we seem to care about it.
The sad thing is – it’s a conscious choice to ignore it.
It might be difficult now, but it will be even more so trying get out of it later.
Please don’t put yourself in that situation in the first place…
But hey, there’s a way to solve this…and you’ll probably not like it.
