I started imagining what my life could be like.
How amazing it could be.
Then I realized there was a real possibility of it actually happening, but I had to get there on my own.
I promised myself to always do what is best for me and I started implementing a new mindset.
When going to the gym and I feel like giving up, I tell myself, just run for 1 more minute.
And just like when watching a Netflix series, I run just one more minute and then one more again and again.
I keep pushing myself in every aspect of life and when feeling a bit off, I push even harder as if my life depended on it.
As if someone is holding a gun to my head ready to pull the trigger if I don’t.
This changed my life entirely.
Because the truth is, my life really does depend on it.
Not in the terms of being held at gunpoint and someone actually threatening me, but in terms of my health and well-being, career, relationships… you get it – my entire life.
Here’s the thing…
There was a point in my life where I just said “F** it, what do I have to lose?”.
“Is this really how I want my one and only time on this earth to pan out?”.
No it wasn’t.
I had everything to lose but I also had everything and beyond to win.
And I realized that by not doing anything at all I would’ve definitely lost and I wouldn’t have enjoyed it.
I made the decision to start caring about the things that matter and stop caring about the things that don’t matter.
Makes perfect sense on paper but in reality, it’s very different.
When running on the treadmill or outside and feeling like giving up, I keep going as if my life depended on it.
When I hit any obstacle in my journey of development, I find new ways and keep going as if my life depended on it.
Because it does really depend on it, how your future turns out is the result of what you decide to do today and tomorrow.
And if today and tomorrow is a sloppy one, I guess you already know what your future will look like.
Do everything in your life as if it depended on it and you will, at the very least have a chance to, experience something you didn’t think was quite possible for little you – whatever it is.
Being fit, healthy, loved, free, happy – anything.
